Most powerful European country

Great Britain was the most powerful European country in 1914. It was less then half the size of France and Germany. It has about the same population as France and less then Germany. Great Britain had 13,100,000 sq. miles of colonial territory. If you add France Belgium The Netherlands and Germany they only had 7,130,000 sq miles of colonial territory all together.
Great Britain colonies had a population of 470,000,000 people. The countries of Belgium, France, The Netherlands and Germany had a population of 157,000,000. Great Britain controlled 3 times more people then all the other countries combined.
